The bank changed names four more times before being purchased by Carner Development group in 2022.

“We want to reference the history of this building while giving it new purpose. We met with the town historian for suggestions on historically accurate names and learned that, for most of its existence, it was known as The Erie County Trust Co. Building. We have also been working with the East Aurora Historical Preservation society and received our initial approval for local landmark status,” stated CDG President, Rachel Krajewski.

The renovated building will feature 6 modern upscale apartments, including 1 studio apartment and 5 one-bedroom apartments, alongside two first-floor commercial spaces with tenants already secured. The Carner Development Group office will be located on the ground floor.
